Auroville

Comme on nous avait beaucoup parlé d'Auroville, nous sommes donc allée tenter de comprendre ce qu'est Auroville. C'est une expérience qui a débutée en 1968. Elle devait être une cité universelle où les habitants devaient pouvoir vivre en paix et au dessus de toute croyance. La ville n'appartient à personne en particulier mais à l'humanité, chaque habitant doit néanmoins serviteur de la conscience divine (La Marie Jeanne n'y est pas autorisée). L'objectif était d'atteindre 50 000 hab, ils sont actuellement 2 000 de 40 nationalités repartis dans 10 communautés autour du "Matrimandir" - un centre spirituel. Après 1 journée de visite, je dois dire que ca me parait effectivement comme une aventure utopiste, même si l' ambiance paraît un peu sectaire.

A lot of people talked about Auroville, so we went to try to understand what is it. The experience starts in 1968. I should be a universal city where inhabitants live in peace overhead any religious conviction. City owners isn't inhabitants themselves but the humanity, and every inhabitant have to be the servitor of the "divin conscience" (Marijuana is not allowed;) ). The objective is 50 000 people, currently they are 2000 of 40 nationalities organised in 10 communities. The "Matrimandir" is the spiritual heart of the city, you can go in to meditate. After a 1 day visit, it seems to me, it's really a utopic community but the atmosphere, sometime, is closer to a sect.
